I will write this post in English, because I dedicate it to my new friends from Montenegro. Because our language is a weird mix of Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Macedonian, German, Hungarian, Russian, and so on …, they don’t understand us at all. And here am I, trying to do my best in english
.
Ok, let’s start at the beginning. It was half past 4 in the morning. Why the * we have to go so early? Ok, let’s go … And we were driving … And driving … And driving … And driving … Try to sit for like 10 hours and you will see, what the pain in the ass really means! And we were driving … And driving … You wouldn’t believe, how boring Croatia seems to me! All stones and rocks and far too much sun! We planned to came in Herceg-Novi about 6 o’clock pm, but we were far to quick and we would arrive there 3 hours earlier. So we decided to go to Dubrovnik. You really should see that city. Its old houses, Venetian architecture, narrow streets and blue sea make you fall in love with it. And the pizzas are also good
.
And we were driving again. And driving. On croatian border we had to wait, because the policeman couldn’t except that our car is officially made for 7 people. When have we arrived to the montenegrian side, the first thing we sav, was – a cow! Real cow, tied to the light! What is the cow doing on the border crossing? Oh, it is used instead of the mower! I was laughing my ass off! I thought: “Well, this is Montenegro.” And we were driving again. I won’t tell you, what was coming to my mind when we were driving through Herceg-Novi. Because the kindness and hospitality of the people there compensates for all the bad roads. Our hosts were our father’s friend Nenad, his wife Nela and two sons. Me and my siblings have quickly learned that one of them is Filip. I hoped that they aren’t some annoying 10-years old kids, who have no idea of English, or some over 25 years old guys, who wouldn’t care to talk to us. But we were pleasantly surprised. When we were sitting outside our apartment, playing cards, tanned guy came to us and introduced himself as Filip. Ok, it seems cool to me! And we were sitting there, playing cards and another guy came. His name was Djordje. I thought I wouldn’t remember it. But I did
.
The first night we went out. And the second. And the third. The forth evening we weren’t alowed, but we had a lot of fun watching Pirates of the Carribean. And the fifth. And the sixth. On our evenings on the beach next to the tunnel we have met like 10 guys and just 3 or 4 girls :). But they were all 17 or 18 … Too young for me, anyway
. But those guys … I could sit and listen to them and just laughing. I also realised that if you haven’t been to a party in Montenegro, you don’t know what party really is!
But hanging out was not all that we have been doing. Our first day there we went to a beach with a boat. It was great! Our private beach with cave and sea urchins … I had a nice chat with one of them. He liked me so much that he left two spikes in my arm. But it really didn’t hurt. But taking them out … that was a whole different story …
And we went on. To a submarine parking lot. Believe or not, it is fantastic! A hole in a hill, filled with water. I felt like in a 007 movie
. Then we went to another beach. Our parents went to a coffee an that lasted for 100 hours or so and we, poor abandoned children, were playing cards all day long. Čunek is the best game ever!
And in the evening we went out, of course.
Second and third day. Sleeping ’till midday, watching movies, going to the beach at 5 pm, coming home at 8, going out at 10 and coming home after 3 am - this is the way that perfect holiday is spent! No more comments.
Fourth day we had a real great time. But not everyone of us. We went to a beach, called Žanjice. And we went there by boat. The waves were just huuge! My mother, both sisters and one brother were terribly sick. The Spasić family, me and my second brother were just laughing. Filip, do you want a sandwich?
But we all survived. And on the way back it was more fun, because me, Filip and Sašo were playing cards and sleeping in the boat, because we had enough space. And there is everlasting question: “Why is the rum always gone?” :)
The last day in Montenegro we went to a trip around Boka Kotorska. It is absolutely wonderful! I could just drive around, taking pictures of that gorgeous nature and old towns. Kotor looks just like mini-Dubrovnik. I cannot describe all the beauties of Boka, my English is too bad. But If there exists a place for a perfect wedding, I think I have found it.
You can see, that I have fallen in love with Montenegro. The people are open, kind and friendly, the sea is warm and clean, the hills are green and the sunsets are in all colors of the rainbow. I admit, maybe I have found a hint of romantic in me.
But now I have to log in back to reality. The washing machine is waiting, and no other will do the laundry instead of me.
(Filip, now you can comment my bad English and fix all the wrong tenses
)
